TCENet bags yet another award

Hello folks, TCENet, the intranet portal of Thiagarajar College of Engineering has bagged yet another award. Already known by many in the opensource communities for being a FOSS product, TCENet now received the “Finalist 2008” for “The World is Open Award” sponsored by
Red Hat. It already received the “Most innovative ERP” award from the PCQuest magazine. Hearty congrats!!!

Two beautiful books

Hello folks, over the past few days, i had cut down the time i spent before the computer and spent more time on books. And that lead me to two beautiful books, one by the great Stephen Hawking and the other by a not-so-popular scientist named Brian Greene. The former was titled “Theory Of everything” (TOE) for short. The other was “The Elegant Universe”.

Ooty and Coimbatore visit — Our last I.V

Hello folks. It was a great week that I enjoyed. It all began with the victory in the hostel day flood light cricket tournament, Thunderknights. The victory was a memorable one as our team beat the “Sultans” team. Satish Solomon played a great role with his controlled batting. That very night, the students of the Dept. of CSE started out for their final Industrial Visit – A trip to Ooty and Comimbatore. We were suppoed to visit BSNL in Ooty and CTS in Coimbatore.
